Streets Ahead
Streets Ahead is an initiative that was established by JET South Liverpool in 2003 to bring together staff from a wide range of agencies to help improve residents' access to the job opportunities and services that are available in the South Liverpool area. Each week a team of staff from organisations such as JET South Liverpool, Jobcentre Plus, Greater Merseyside Connexions, Shaw Trust and Citizens Advice Bureaux and visit houses, schools, community and health centres in Speke, Garston and Netherley Valley to promote awareness of local job opportunities and the wide range of support services available to people living in the area. - Advice about further education
- Benefits advice
- Information about childcare support
- Advice regarding housing repairs, rent queries etc.
- Information about public transport
- Promotion of community events
